ELLEN LEIKIND BIO:
Ellen Leikind spent 15 years as a successful marketing executive, working in escalating Marketing positions for Fortune 500 companies including Pfizer and L’Oreal. She then took a hiatus from Corporate America and used her marketing expertise working as an Executive Branding Strategist in the Direct Response Infomercial industry. She is now President of EDL Marketing Group in New York City.
Ellen founded POKERprimaDIVAS in 2006 www.pokerdivas.com, . The company provides corporate teambuilding leadership programs and client entertainment which helps empower women to become fearless and decisive through the skills they acquire at the poker table. She teaches women how to get what they want by making the most of the cards they are dealt, how to win and if you lose, how to get back in the game. Poker like much of Corporate America is a boys club and POKERprimaDIVAS encourages women to get in the game.
The more Ellen played poker, the more she saw the similarities between the card game and the larger ‘game’ of business and personal fulfillment. That inspired her to write her first bookPOKERWOMAN- How to Win at Love, Life and Business using the Principles of Poker released from Liebert Publishing and available on www.amazon.com. .
She has an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University and is a native New Yorker.
