This Friday October 23 we will be airing another episode of “21st Century Entrepreneur” which is an Internet radio program aimed towards educating business owners and their advisors on how to make their businesses more successful and profitable.  It is a show hosted by JC Maldonado who is the CEO of BizGro Partners and Joan Pelzer, the founder of Joan Pelzer Media.  This week we will be interviewing Jessica Robinson who owns a high end Security Consulting Firm.  We will be speaking about Cyberspace Security Threats that affects today’s business and political climate.

Jessica Robinson is Founder & CEO of PurePoint International, a firm disrupting the security market by providing affordable outsourced Chief Security Officer (CSO) consulting services for startups, international non-profits, and mid-size commercial businesses.  PurePoint completes training and assessments for businesses in physical and cyber security and threat mitigation/business continuity.

Jessica, and her partners, help clients resolve business threats and build risk mitigation plans that include physical & cybersecurity threats, and business continuity.  Jessica was part of the Assets Protection response team after a high profile data breach with a top 50 company.  She went on to help train teams on social engineering to mitigate additional business risks.  Her ten years of leadership, practical hands on experience and ability to build trusted partnerships, while obtaining results, is why clients work with her.

Jessica worked several years in the private sector for a top 50 company with responsibilities including leading and supporting a $600M business in the area of Assets Protection (safety, personnel, physical, investigations, emergency preparedness/business continuity, security and business practices, social engineering (cyber/physical)), and worked in the area of Public/Private partnerships, both with emphasis on Training and Development.  Jessica initially majored in Law Enforcement and Computer Science in college until she quickly discovered what became one of her true loves: international affairs.  Though Jessica left behind her Computer Science training, and eventually received her masters in Public and International Affairs, her passion for IT and cyber related security issues continues now through her work.

Formerly, Jessica served on the Washington DC Police Foundation’s Women’s Committee and on the NYC Police Foundation’s Crime Stoppers Committee, and is involved with security industry organizations such as ASIS International, Women in International Security, and the International organization of Black Security Executives, among other organizations and is currently completing her Certified Protection Professional certification.

Jessica was a 2014 Fellow with IMPACT Leadership 21, completed an Executive Education certificate at Columbia University Business School in 2013 and was a Fellow with the Impact Center in 2012. She received her Master’s in Public and International Affairs with a strong focus in Security & Intelligence Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and earned an East Asian Studies Certificate. She received a B.S. from Western Illinois University,  in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration, where she graduated with honors. Jessica is currently serving on the board of international non-profit World Pulse, Emerging Global Leader Circle with Impact Leadership 21, and the United Nations Women Committee on Public/Private partnerships. In 2014, Jessica was recognized as a Rising Leader by the African American Alumni Council at the University of Pittsburgh.

Her co-authored book, Mission Unstoppable, with George Fraser and Les Brown is a #1 Amazon Best Seller in 7 categories. Jessica often speaks on the importance of failure and being unstoppable. Besides hiking and spending time with friends, her passion for international travel and social justice continue to grow.
